SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The substrate must be even, dry, solid, as well as dust, contamination, bacteria (fungi, mould, mosses) and other chemicals free, etc. All contamination must be washed under high water pressure. Old render and paint coatings of poor adhesion must be removed. Fill in any cracks with adhesives KS 10, KS 20, KU 11, KU 21 (max. up to 6.0 mm on one coating) or standard render mortar. It’s recommended to apply Silicone Primer GN 30 on substrates with poor load-bearing capacity, highly absorptive and chalky (i.e. leaving dust traces after palm rubbing) in order to strengthen them. If necessary, level the surface with Adhesives KU 11, KU 21 or KW 12. The render can be applied on fresh cement and cement-lime after min. 28 days, while on concrete after min. 3 months. For thermal insulation systems the reinforced layer must be seasoned for min. 3 days. All substrates must be stabilized regarding the moisture level and the hardening process must be completed. Before render application it is necessary to prime the substrate with PN Base Coat with a colour similar to the plaster’s.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Before application mix the entire content very carefully with a slow-speed drill till obtaining a uniform consistency. If necessary, add some GN 30 Silicone Primer (max. up to 1.5%). The quantity of the primer added should always be identical. Primer additive may change the properties of the render and its colour. Do not add any substances such as cement, sand or other to the render. Do not add water. While applying manually the render must be applied with a stainless steel trowel till obtaining the coating of grain thickness. 15 minutes after the render’s application it’s necessary to shape it to a desirable texture with a plastic trowel: ‘stippled’ - by making circular movements, ‘rilled’ - vertical, horizontal and circular movements, depending on the desirable pattern of cracks. Do not use water during smoothening. The excessive material can be used after remixing. Only ‘stipple’ textured render can be used with the spraying method, grain thickness should be between 1.5 mm and 3 mm. In such case, you should use a spraying kit recommended by the manufacturer compliant with the following parameters: 1.5 mm thick render - nozzle no. 2 (5.5mm), 2mm thick render - nozzle no. 3 (6.5mm), 2.5 mm and 3 mm thick render - nozzle no. 4 (7 mm). Recommended unit pressure: 3.5 –4 bar. The stream of mass should be sprayed perpendicularly 25 cm away from the wall. The gun should be operated steadily on the whole surface of the wall. In order to avoid discolouration while applying colour silicone renders, it’s necessary to apply one with the same batch number (expiry date and batch number on the container). In order to avoid shade and texture discolouration, work breaks should be scheduled in advance (e.g. in corners and bends, under drain pipes, etc.).
REMARKS / RECOMMENDATIONS:
Apply when the temperature is between +5ºC and +25ºC. Do not apply on heated substrate. During the render application and drying time avoid direct sun exposure, strong wind and rain. Protect the covered surface with foil or dense mesh till drying. The temperature during application and over the next 48 hours cannot be lower than +5ºC. Low temperature and high air humidity can extend the drying time. Failure to comply with the recommendations, inappropriate substrate preparation or application may result in permanent differences in colour (discolouration, efflorescence), and in extreme situations in reducing its durability. After application wash the tools with water. Fresh stains on the render can be washed with water, whereas hard render remains must be washed off mechanically. The render obtains its full strength properties 28 days after application. In case of interior application the area must be ventilated until the odour vanishes completely. Application of dark and intense render colours within thermal insulation systems (at light reflectance value (LRV) below 20%) should not exceed 10% of the rendered surface. Before application check the compatibility of the ordered colour and texture on a small wall section. Any suggestions regarding unusual features of the render and the colour must be reported to the seller immediately. Works must be carried out in accordance with principle construction rules and FOVEO TECH manual. In case of using the product with other manufacturers’ products or products without reference documents (AT and ETA), FFiL Śnieżka SA shall not bear any responsibility.
The purpose of the information herein is to provide optimal performance when applying the render. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damages resulting from inappropriate use or mispurpose of the product, since weather conditions during application are beyond its control. The areas where the product was used or elements covered with the product must be ventilated until the odour vanishes completely. Only then can they be used.
