TM 10 Mineral Render

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The substrate must be even, dry, solid, as well as dust, contamination, bacteria (fungi, mould, mosses) and other chemicals free, etc. All contamination must be washed under high water pressure. Old render and paint coatings of poor adhesion must be removed. Fill in any cracks with adhesive KS 10, KS 20 or KU 11, KU 21 (max. up to 6.0 mm on one coating) or standard render mortar. It’s recommended to apply GA 10 Acrylic Primer on substrates with poor load-bearing capacity, very absorptive and chalky (i.e. leaving dust traces after palm rubbing) in order to strengthen them. The render can be applied on fresh cement and cement-lime after min. 28 days, while on concrete after min. 3 months. For thermal insulation systems the reinforcing layer must be seasoned for min. 3 days. All substrates must be stabilized regarding the moisture level and the hardening process must be completed. Before render application it is necessary to prime the substrate with PA 10 Base Coat.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Put the content of the bag (25kg) into approx. 4.5 - 5.5 litres of clean cool water and mix it with a slow-speed drill till obtaining a uniform consistency. Leave the compound for at least 5 minutes and then mix it again. Do not add any substances such as cement, sand or other to the render. Apply with a stainless steel trowel till obtaining the coating of grain thickness. 15 minutes after the render’s application it’s necessary to shape it to a desirable texture with a plastic trowel by making circular movements. Do not sprinkle the render with water while smoothening. Workability time after mixing with water up to 1 hour.
In case of thickening, it’s necessary to mix it again without water. Adding too much water deteriorates adhesive’s features: adhesion to the substrate, strength, curing time. Do not use rusting or dirty tools and containers. In order to avoid shade and texture discolouration, work breaks should be scheduled in advance (e.g. in corners and bends, under drain pipes, etc.).

REMARKS / RECOMMENDATIONS:

Apply when the temperature is between +5ºC and +25ºC. Do not apply on heated substrate. During the render application and drying time avoid direct sun exposure, strong wind and rain. Protect the covered surface with a foil or dense mesh till drying. The temperature during application and over the next 48 hours cannot be lower than +5ºC. Low temperature and high air humidity can extend the drying time. The product contains natural fillers which can result in shade differences of renders from different production batches. Therefore, it’s recommended to apply the render from the same batch on a particular surface (expiry date and batch number on the container).

Before application check the compatibility of the ordered colour and texture on a small wall section. The render is intended before the application of FA 10 Acrylic Paint, FAT 15 Acrylic Paint with Teflon™ surface protector, FSS 25 Silicate and Silicone Paint (to be seasoned for at least 3 weeks), FT 20 Silicate Paint (to be seasoned for 3-5 days). After application wash the tools with water. Fresh stains on the render can be washed with water, whereas hard render remains must be washed off mechanically. Any suggestions regarding unusual features of the render and the colour must be reported to the seller immediately. Works must be carried out in accordance with principle construction rules, as well as HSE standards and regulations. In case of using the product with other manufacturers’ products, the company shall not bear any responsibility. STORAGE:

Keep in a dry and ventilated area in undamaged containers. Storage temperature between +5ºC and +30ºC. Protect from rain, frost and sunlight. Expiry date on the container.

TOOLS:

Slow-speed drill, trowel, stainless steel trowel, plastic trowels.

SAFETY RULES:

The product contains cement and becomes alkaline after mixing with water. During application protect eyes and skin. In case of eye contact, immediately rinse eyes with clean water and see the doctor. Dispose the product and its container to hazardous or special waste collection point. The areas where the product was used or elements covered with the product must be ventilated until the odour vanishes completely. Only then can they be used.
