- makes the substrate absorption uniform
- enhanced adhesion of renders
- reduces discoloration
- levels the curing process and drying of the applied render
PN 30 Silicone Base Coat is used to strengthen the adhesion of silicone renders, decrease substrate absorption and allow the application of thin-layer renders. It is used to decrease the possibility of discolouration on the surface. Intended as an undercoat before the application of mineral, acrylic, acrylic-silicone renders, as well as mosaic, cement, cement and lime. For both exterior and interior application. Can be applied on substrates made of concrete, cement, cement and lime, gypsum, cardboard gypsum panels, particle boards, etc.
Application temp.: | between +10ºC and +25ºC |
Volumetric density: | 1.65 g/cm3 ± 5% |
Drying time: | to 3 hours |
Possibility to apply the render: | 24 hours after priming |
Consumption: | approx. 0.3 kg/m2 |
Container: | 16kg, 8kg, 3kg |
To be used before the render: | TM 10, TA 11, TPT 40, TSS 25, TD 50 |
The substrate must be even, dry, solid, as well as dust, contamination, bacteria (fungi, mould, mosses) and chemicals free, etc. All contaminations must be washed under high water pressure. Old render and paint coatings of poor adhesion must be removed. Fill in any cracks with adhesives KS 10, KS 20, KU 11, KU 21 (max. up to 6.0 mm on one coating) or standard render mortar. It’s recommended to apply GA 10 Acrylic Primer on substrates with poor load-bearing capacity, very absorptive and chalky (i.e. leaving dust traces after palm rubbing) in order to strengthen them. Fresh cement and cement-lime plasters have to be painted after min. 28 days, whereas concrete after min. 3 months. For thermal insulation systems the reinforcing layer has to be seasoned for min. 3 days. All substrates must be stabilized regarding the moisture level and the hardening process must be completed.
Mix the base coat carefully and apply with paintbrush. If necessary dilute it up to 5% with water. Base coat's drying time is approx. 2 hours, depending on the application conditions (the temperature, air humidity, substrate absorption, etc.). When applying the product under dark acrylic plasters, the paint must be tinted with pigments similar to the plaster's colour in order to avoid colour contrast in case of rubbing.
Apply when the temperature is between +5ºC and +25ºC. Do not apply on heated substrate. During the render application and drying time avoid direct sun exposure, strong wind and rain. Protect the painted surface with foil or dense mesh till drying. The temperature during application and over the next 24 hours cannot be lower than +5ºC. After application wash the tools with water. Works must be carried out in accordance with principle construction rules, as well as HSE standards and regulations. In case of using the product with other manufacturers’ products, the company shall not bear any responsibility. Detailed information can be found in the technical data sheet.
Keep in tightly closed containers. Storage temperature sould be between +5ºC and +30ºC. Expiry date on the container. The areas where the product was used or elements covered with the product must be ventilated until the odour vanishes completely. Only then can they be used.
