- decreases the substrate absorption
- reduces discoloration
- strengthens the topcoat paint adhesion to the substrate
GA 10 Acrylic Primer is intended for priming and strengthening porous, very absorptive mineral substrates and cement well as cement and lime plasters, concrete and thin-layer mineral final coatings in thermal insulation systems. It is used before the application of FA 10 Facade Acrylic Paint or its dilution. Penetrates the substrate deeply, levels its absorption, strengthens the topcoat paint adhesion. Reduces water penetration in the substrate, forms coatings with high vapour permeability, protects against discoloration.
Application temp.: | between +10ºC and +25ºC |
Drying time: | to 2 hours |
Consumption: | to 10 m2/L |
Container: | canister 5 L |
To be used before paint: | FA 10, FAT 15 |
Apply when the temperature is between +5ºC and +25ºC. Do not apply on heated substrate. During the application and drying time avoid direct sun exposure, strong wind and rain. Protect the painted surface with a foil or dense mesh till drying. After application wash the tools with water. Works must be carried out in accordance with principle construction rules, as well as HSE standards and regulations. In the event of mixing the primer with other manufacturers' products, the company shall not bear any responsibility.
The substrate must be dry, solid, dust, contamination as well as biological aggression free (fungi, moulds, mosses) and chemicals free, etc. Cement, cement-lime and mineral renders have to be painted after min. 28 days. All substrates must be stabilized regarding the moisture level and the hardening process must be completed. All contamination must be washed under high water pressure. Old render and paint coatings of poor adhesion must be removed. Fill in any render defects and cracks with putty.
The preparation is a ready-to-use product, do not dilute it or add any substances. Apply one coating with paintbrush or roller. It’s recommended to apply the second coating on very absorptive and weak substrates while the first one is still wet. Exterior paints must be applied after about 12h from the final primer coating application.
The areas where the product was used or elements covered with the product must be ventilated until the odour vanishes completely. Only then can they be used.
