application manner
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The substrate must be even, dry, solid, as well as dust, contamination, bacteria (fungi, mould, mosses) and other chemicals free, etc. Fresh thin-layer mineral renders should be painted min. 14 days after application, cement and cement-lime plasters min. 28 days, while concrete after min. 3 months. All substrates must be stabilized regarding the moisture level and the hardening process must be completed. Contamination must be washed under high water pressure. Old coatings of renders and paints with poor adhesion must be removed. Fill in any cracks with the following adhesive mortars: KS 10, KS 20, KU 11, KU 21, KW 12 or a standard render mortar. Use Silicone Primer GN 30 before applying the silicone paint on both new and restored substrates.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Stir the paint carefully, always apply 2 coatings - use a paintbrush or roller every 12 hours or wet-on-wet hydrodynamic spraying method. Do not mix with other paints and do not dilute with water! While applying the first layer the paint can be diluted up to 10% with GN 30 Silicone Primer. The dilution ratios should be preserved on the entire painted surface. Apply the second coating with non-diluted paint. In order to avoid differences in colour shades, the same surface should be covered with product of the same batch number (expiry date and batch number on the container). If you are using paints from different batches mix them before application. Work breaks should be scheduled in advance, e.g. after work is completed (e.g. in corners, under drainage pipes, etc.).
REMARKS / RECOMMENDATIONS:
Apply when the temperature is between +10ºC and +25ºC. Do not apply on heated substrate. During the render application and drying time avoid direct sun exposure, strong wind and rain. Protect the painted surface with a foil or dense mesh till drying. The temperature during application and over the next 24 hours must not be lower than +10ºC. After application wash the tools with water. Application of dark and intense render colours within thermal insulation systems (at light reflectance value (LRV) below 20%) should not exceed 10% of the rendered surface. Before application check the compatibility of the ordered colour and texture on a small wall section. Any suggestions regarding unusual features of the render and the colour must be reported to the seller immediately. Works must be carried out in accordance with principle construction rules, as well as HSE standards and regulations. In case of using the product with other manufacturers’ products, the company shall not bear any responsibility.
TOOLS:
Paintbrush, syntex roller, natural with bristle height over 19 mm, hydrodynamic painting unit (nozzle 0.43 mm, pressure 180 bar, dilution - none). The areas where the product was used or elements covered with the product must be ventilated until the odour vanishes completely. Only then can they be used.
